INTRODUCTION TO GUIDED IMAGERY AND MUSIC: LEVEL 1 TRAINING
OCTOBER 16, 17, 23, 24 - 2004
(35 hours, 42 CMTE Credits)

This course, an introduction to the Guided Imagery and Music process, will cover basic theory and practice of GIM, including: imagery, altered states of consciousness, inductions, music, guiding and processing techniques, ethics, contraindications and professional training requirements.  The course will be both didactic and experiential.  Completion of this course serves as an AMI approved Level I training in GIM.

Madelaine Ventre, MS, MT-BC, FAMI, Director of the Creative Therapies Institute is a Board Certified Music Therapist, an AMI Fellow and Primary Trainer, and an ATMA (Association for Teachers of Mandala Assessment) approved Instructor. She has been in private practice in GIM for over 20 years. Madelaine has been a Visiting Specialist at Montclair State University since 1978 and an adjunct faculty member at New York University since 1981. She has trained GIM students nationally and internationally, and has published in professional journals, books and presented at national and international conferences.

Refund Policy: A 75% Refund if you cancel 1 week prior to your Course, 50% Refund if you cancel within 48 hours prior to your course.
