Outreach Programs
In order to meet the increasing demand for our unique and effective programs, The Rebecca Center has created a host of outreach music therapy programs at prominent healthcare facilities, community centers, and day-treatment centers throughout Long Island and New York City, serving over 150 people with special needs per week.
Our specialized outreach programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of the facility and its serving populations. The Rebecca Center's outreach programs include:
We also have some new programs coming this fall:
- Musicing for Infants and Tots
- Communal Music Therapy: Playin' in the Band
- Music Therapy for the Hearing and Visually Impaired
Quality Assurance
The Rebecca Center for Music Therapy believes that quality standards must be established, monitored, and evaluated to insure quality treatment services are provided and standards are met and/or exceeded. The Rebecca Center Quality Management Program features:
Client Satisfaction Surveys
Clients are canvassed to assess their feedback regarding their satisfaction with our services. Based on the feedback aspects of programs can be modified to better mirror client needs and wishes.
Performance Standards
We monitor our treatment standards against CBMT standards (Certified Board for Music Therapists) and the AMTA codes (American Association for Music Therapists).
Clinical Staffing
The clinical team, which includes the Executive Director, Clinical Director, and clinicians review the progress of clients at clinical staff meetings and in individual clinical supervision.
Individual Supervision
Therapists caseload is supervised by the Director of Clinical Services, Dr. Suzanne Sorel.
All of these activities are utilized to monitor the quality of our services. The results of these reviews helps us to identify where changes need to be made, how we may plan those changes, as well as to assess those changes to insure that our services have improved.
